Dr Gareth Corbett is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Cambridge. He is the clinical director for digestive diseases at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He graduated with his primary medical degree from the University of London in 2002, before going on to specialise in conditions affecting the digestive tract. He has extensive experience working with gastrointestinal diseases, and has a particular interest in dietary manipulation as a way of controlling irritable bowel syndrome and other abdominal pain disorders. He is also a bower cancer screening expert adept in advanced endoscopy and colonoscopy techniques. He is an expert biliary endoscopist, providing ERCP and cholangioscopy. He also offers capsule endoscopy for diagnosis of small bowel disease. Aside from this, Dr Corbett has significant experience in Aviation Medicine, and has written a chapter focusing on gastroenterology in the world renowned Ernsting’s Aviation and Space Medicine. He has experience in military and civilian aviation medicine and the impact of gastrointestinal on flying.
