Dr. Ebigbo earned her medical degree at the University of Nigeria College of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Richmond University Medical Center and received advanced training through pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition fellowship at UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.

Dr. Ebigbo’s work focuses on translational gut microbiome research. She studies the interplay between the commensal microbiota and the immune system and has a special interest in gut microbiota population modulation as a therapeutic modality for gastrointestinal diseases in children.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
