In 2007 Gianluca obtained a degree in Medicine and Surgery cum laude, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome. From 2008 to 2009 he was the winner of the research award “The use of Adalimumab in the management of Crohn’s disease” (Abbott). In 2010 Gianluca worked in the International Observership, Endoscopic Ultrasonography and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography, MUSC Digestive Disease Center, Charleston (USA), and in the Research Fellowship, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, Miami (USA).

From 2013 to 2016 Gianluca received a Ph.D. in “Cellular and Molecular Clinical Research – Endoscopy,” Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, and Postgraduate Diploma in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy cum laude, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome in 2014. Contractor, Gemelli Medical Center, University Hospital A, Gemelli, Rome from 2014 to 2015, and II level University Master in “Operative endoscopy in adult and pediatric age,” Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome from 2017 to 2018.

Since 2014 Dr. Gianluca has been a Doctor in the Operative Digestive Endoscopy Unit at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, and from 2020 he is a Researcher in Gastroenterology, Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
