Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1984), Master in Medicine from the Brazilian Institute of Studies and Research in Gastroenterology – IBEPEGE (1985), Doctorate in Medicine from the University of São Paulo Medical School – FMUSP (2000) and Full Professor at the University of São Paulo Medical School (2012). He is currently Director of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Bronchoscophagoscopy Unit at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP, Advisor of the Graduate Program in Sciences in Gastroenterology at FMUSP, Supervisor of the Medical Fellowship Program in Endoscopy at COREME-FMUSP. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Gastroenterology Surgery and Endoscopy, acting mainly on the following subjects: Endoscopic Treatment of Obesity and Complications of Bariatric Surgery, Endoscopic Treatment of Early Digestive System Neoplasms, Diagnosis and Treatment of Biliopancreatic Pathologies (Choledocoscopy) .
